Information we collect

When you create an account, book a rental or make a purchase, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and shipping/billing address. Payment details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe, and never stored on our servers.

How we use your information

We use this information to process your booking or order, communicate about your rental (confirmation, shipping, return reminders, deposit refund), provide customer support, and — where you haven't opted out — send occasional updates about new arrivals or upcoming wedding-season offers.

Third-party services

We rely on trusted third parties to run the site: Stripe for payment processing, Clerk for account authentication, and Resend for transactional email. Each handles the information needed to perform its function and is bound by its own privacy terms.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your regional preference (e.g. Australia or US) between visits. We don't use cookies for third-party advertising tracking.

Data retention

We keep order and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information at any time by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law.

Children's privacy

Sitara is not directed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect any change.
